I'm a great CSS fan , i've been playing it ever since CS 1.6 was released , i'm not any pro at it ... but it's really addictive
Never played Source but I play 1.6 solely on a superhero server. Been on that server for 5 years now and it's great.

CS:S is good, i played it when i was 13 - 15 yeard old.... funny memoriesbut there is a better games to play.
Im a big CSS player, play almost every week for a clan :P
