If you guys are looking for a little time to kill then I recommend Jade Dynasty. It came out of closed beta a week or so ago and is now in open beta. It's based off of Ether Saga from what I can tell, but it's not cartoon/anime themed. This is the type of game where you can just jump out and start killing stuff and enjoying most of the features right away. I started yesterday and I'm level 22 which isn't that bad considering I only played for a few hours.

And I'm very serious when I say that you can do pretty much anything when you start the game. In the first hour you'll get your pet, items, quests, etc. There's even a meditation thing that gives you exp without doing anything over time, so when you sleep you just turn that on and you're leveling up without doing anything at all.

It's great fun.
