Since we don't know the specs yet for D3 it's hard to say what would be best. About 8 months ago I picked up a Radeon 5850 and it's screaming fast on games like Bad Company 2 and Starcraft 2 at 1920x1080.

Check this out:Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart : Best Graphics Cards For The Money: February 2011

My guess is anything in the first 5 rows of that hierarchy chart will be able to run D3 at max or near-max settings. My old computer with an Nvidia 7600gs is able to run SC2 at low settings. That is 20 rows down lol

What are your computer specs right now?

Try looking at nVidia series GFX cards.

To my knowledge the only problems with my ATI card is the mouse cursor gets screwed up when I play Starcraft 2 and then exit it. The cursor is fine on my 2nd monitor but is distorted on my main monitor. I think this is a multi-monitor issue. Also Lord of the Rings Online has issues with DX11 but both of these problems should be fixed in time with driver updates if they haven't already.
