    Default Party play queries

    Greetings all,

Just a couple of queries. If i'm level 10 and my friend is level 1 in the same party - what level mobs would we be up against and what level drops would there be?

Cant find anything to do with this so hopefully someone knows?

    Thanks!

This all depends on the difficulty and act you're in. If your friend starts a new game as a level 1 character and you're level 10, you will be facing level 1 in the starting area. The damage and health of demons scales with the number of players which adds difficulty...the level doesn't really matter, just the area.

Thanks for reply - so to clarify if a lvl 1 character and lvl 10 character are playing the 1st area (which lets say has level 1 mobs in only) There would be level 2 mobs and they would drop loot of a lvl 2 mob?

    sound about right ?

    thanks again

You shouldn't think of everything in levels. When 2 players are in ANY area the mobs get more health and do more damage (plus there might be more of them, not sure). Since there are two of you, the area should be able to be cleared faster than if only one of you were playing on your own. This results in a greater volume of loot being dropped than if you cleared it on your own (taking more time) although it would be the same loot normally dropped in that area.

The only thing that increase the quality of your loot is +%Magic Find items which increases the rate at which magic items are dropped inadvertently increases the rate rare (better) items are dropped.

Clear mobs faster-> move through game faster-> more loot in less amount of time-> more chances for good items

At least that was the thinking behind the current co-op system.
