Hey guys!
I know site activity is down in the dumps but I just had to say that I got into the beta! Rest assured that Diablo 3 still feels good to play despite some of the changes they've made.
The interface is a bit cluttered since you have to aim for little X boxes to close out the popups. The achievements for killing X enemies with 1 blow...etc are really cool. Small XP boosts for doing cool stuff is definitely the way to go.
Surprisingly the Monk is my favorite class to play so far with the Barb in close second. The Wizard seems a bit lackluster in early levels but she is getting cooler as time goes on. Looking at some of the later skills (and passives) definitely shows branches of skills used for melee, ranged spells, and even some hardcore routes with survivability built into the mechanics of a skill. The Witchdoctor is definitely the class to play if you want to deal massive damage over time...my favorite spell of his is where a large circle appears on the ground with zombie hands grasping up...this slows and deals damage to enemies. The DH is definitely fun but I need more practice with her.

hmmm,I also think it is an interesting class .
New patch last night wiped the characters...re-running the same areas is very reminiscent of D2. The pace is perfect the first run through - second+ is relatively easy especially if you find a rare weapons on the first go.
They added Beta Bucks to the auction house and removed the gold economy temporarily. I never used the auction house with gold however since everybody has a free $50 there really is no real-world value attached to this money. Magic items that are of no real value are posted for $15+! It's going to be interesting to see how much items are going to sell once the game goes live. Possibly similar to item selling website for D2 but since the players set the price it may fluxuate a bit more.
