As I understood the new diablo 3 game will not be a revolution for the trilogy and it makes me sad... what's the point of making an another diablo game with just better graphics , gender classes , etc .... That's not what the fans have been expecting for 10 years... I will buy the game anyway but here is my sugestion for the new game : What about making it an RPG that you can play alone and finish the story line , but when you finish your last quest you enter a totaly different universe where all the players that finished the game are ... There you can start like a new adventure but already in a MMORPG style and how your character in this universe is depends on how you played the actual story of the game... I think it would be awesome .. Like a passage from RPG to MMORPG ... Whatever I guess it won't happen cause the game must be released this year ... Stil I hope Blizzard will get this idea and create something based on it .... Who knows maybe an another game , Diablo Online or something .... It would be epic cause Diablo is the game of my childhood and i don't want it to go the path it goes now cause eventualy it wil disapear....
The point of another Diablo with better everything is exactly that....MORE DIABLO!
However, your game ideas sound like they'd be a blast however creating an MMO that is linked to a single player RPG would be quite complicated not only from a technological point of view but from a balancing standpoint. Similar to what The Old Republic is going to be I would think.
The below statement is true.
The above statement is false.
i like diablo the way it is now. it looks pretty polished, besides blizzard has a good track record of making games.
i like your idea i think it could work well
That Idea might workout, but it is alright currently also.
I would never buy the game if they made it an MMO. That's a surefire way to kill off a universe IMO.
I like your idea but I don't know if it would work and since its near release I doubt it will be done.
