Wanted what you guys think of if they did a day/night theme for diablo 3. Here in the morning theres rainbows, textures, and bright colors. But when the sun sets the world changes to a dark grimy place with wild fires, rotting corspes, and the bad guys get a boost in attack/health power during the night. Thus settling the differences on how diablo should look like, and just incorporate both views with the changing of day/night. Of course during the night, moving though the game would be a lot harder than during the day, which would make interesting dilemmas and change game play.
that would be sick!
someone made a post on the official forums about this suggestion. I, for one, think people should just quit being whiny bitches and let Blizzard do what they want. I mean, name a bad Blizzard game. Few, if any, to choose from. Now if only there was a solution to people complaining about Starcraft's palette.

It's funny how blizzard is looking for a new art director and 3 3d environment artist for diablo 3 alone Blizzard Entertainment - Employment Opportunities I think blizzard is going to make big changes to the final product. So I'm not worried about how diablo 3 will feel and look like, just how it plays, and wouldn't it play better if they implement a day/night theme? I just figured that would make things a lot more interesting.
thanks, This would real open Diablo 3 game-play to a whole new level of possibilities; demons specific to the time of day/night that would make unique encounters really interesting; enemy spells do more at night, while enemy physical damage do more damage in day light, thus making different builds/class suited better for the time of the day. that would be very dynamic game play
the possibles are endless really, the night is coming, you need to adapt and change your gear that is better suited for the night, like higher resistance to magic, more light radius, even can change the spells and technique you use. For example, fire does more damage at night vs day, which would make a witch doctor better off using a fire ball spell vs a locus spell during the day. This can open so many doors.
With some spells doing more/less damage during certain times of day/night would only make some builds playable during those times...defeating the purpose for day/nighttime if people will suit themselves for 1/2 the game...
Changing gear would be a hassle however the benefits should be small depending on what type of armor you are wearing...not enough to warrant gear changes.
Different demons during day/night is an awesome idea!
As the sun rises in the backdrop you suddenly feel a tremor as 100s of [insert demon here] crawl out of the sand to feed on the sun's rays but instead divert their attention towards you and your party.
The below statement is true.
