Default Barb kills paladin?

Because the barb now has charge, wait "furious" charge and a passive sheild technique could this spell the end to the much belove'd sheild toating holy warrior?
I think its very likely that there wont be a paladin class in D3, and not even a class that specifies in sheild, in light of teh fact that sheilds have been overhauled and now dont block all damage but prevent full damage, in Jay Wilson's words "sheilds dont stop all damage now, but they do stop more damage than would have occured if you didnt have the sheild, which makes sense because stoping a sword with a sheild does hurt"

So is the paladin gone to heaven for D3 or will the holy warrior come from the depths to save sanctuary?

i'm sure they're going to have a paladin or knight class in there. it wouldn't be Diablo without it.

i'm excited to see whats gonna happen. seems like diablo 3 updates will be far and few inbetween.

A knight class i do agree with. But dont u think it is strange that barb now has a passive sheild skill and furios charge?
I think they will dump the paladin, or atleast nerf hammerdins man i hate that skill! so unbalanced!

I don't think a knight class will make it in the same sense of diablo 2. I believe the paladin will be ripped apart... Some skills to the barb some to maybe a cleric type class.

The origional diablo didn't have a paladin.

I can see the 2nd armor-wearing class who focuses on elemental/holy (can't remember the different elements) sword strikes that deals half/half holy/physical. I hope they don't just copy the Dark Knight from the new WoW expansion... I read a bit about it and it sounds like an awesome idea but it should stay in that universe, not Diablo's.

If hammerdins do make an appearance it will be nerfed severely...I'd like to see a skill that calls down Thor's hammer or w/e with area effect...aka Meteor with holy damage but stuns enemies or knockback.

They will just nerf pallies so that not everyone in diablo has a freakin pally on their account, i mean pallies were nice but they got very very OP.

barb has a skill like thors hammer called hammer of the ancients, where he strikes with his weapon dealing +50% dmg or something and stuns them, the graphic is him swinging a big gold glowing hammer onto them that smashes into the ground n stuns them

haha nice...

I just think the goodie class will be a saint or cleric style character. Something shield bearing buffing aura weilding holy man. Not quite a pally type class. Less big hitting physical more magic foh type character.

He would be the more defensive counter to the sorc while the barb is the raw power and the witchdoctor is the dot minion wielding type.

I think the pally is scrapped just from what I've seen out of the barb.

I know this part is a bit off topic but I have a feeling the last class will be our scout type ranged attacker. That covers the play styles pretty well.
